Hi everyone!

So on Friday 23rd March we said goodbye to lots of you for a little while. I know this all feels a little bit strange at the moment as we are not going to be in school for some time, but I want you to know the adults in school will be thinking about you every day. We want you to stay home for a while to keep everyone safe and healthy.

I want to tell you some important things:

  • Don't be frightened. You may hear some things that might worry you, but these are not worries for you. If you are feeling worried or sad about anything speak to an adult. They will be able to help and look after you.
  • Remember to keep washing your hands for 20 seconds to keep those pesky germs away.
  • Even though you aren't in school right now you can still learn and try new things. Keep checking the website for updates and activities for you to do during our time off. Keep trying your best in everything you do.
  • We miss you very much and when you come back some things may have changed. This is ok as the one thing that won't change is how much the adults in the school care about you.

Be kind, be brave and keep smiling. Help the adults around the house and, most of all, stay safe. We miss you lots and can't wait to see your smiling faces back in school very soon. Take care.

Lots of love,

Miss Walsh

Playground Buddy Training

Today was a very exciting day as Poppy Class took part in Playground Buddy Training.

Our Playground Buddy scheme plays an important part in creating a safe, friendly, happy and peaceful environment for children during lunchtimes. Their role is to help and support the lunchtime supervisors to ensure the children in Foundation Stage and KS1 are safe and happy.

Year 5 children have been selected to be Playground Buddies this year and today Poppy Class helped them in their training. We met our buddies and they explained what their role is. They then taught us some exciting new games that we can play at lunchtimes. We are so excited for our new Buddies to join us on the Key Stage 1 playground.

A busy first week exploring our new classroom!
