1/6/20- New Home School Packs are now available to pick up from school!
Hi everyone!
So on Friday 23rd March we said goodbye to lots of you for a little while. I know this all feels a little bit strange at the moment as we are not going to be in school for some time, but I want you to know the adults in school will be thinking about you every day. We want you to stay home for a while to keep everyone safe and healthy.
I want to tell you some important things:
Be kind, be brave and keep smiling. Help the adults around the house and, most of all, stay safe. We miss you lots and can't wait to see your smiling faces back in school very soon. Take care.
Lots of love,
Miss Walsh

Adopt a Reading Buddy Puppy!
Today we adopted a puppy!
Miss Walsh thought that we are such good readers and love reading so much that we should adopt a puppy and read to it every night. We get to take our puppies home and we promised to read to them every night for at least 15 minutes. We are then going to share all the lovely stories we have read to our puppies with the rest of the class! πΆπ
Playground Buddy Training
Today was a very exciting day as Poppy Class took part in Playground Buddy Training.
Our Playground Buddy scheme plays an important part in creating a safe, friendly, happy and peaceful environment for children during lunchtimes. Their role is to help and support the lunchtime supervisors to ensure the children in Foundation Stage and KS1 are safe and happy.
Year 5 children have been selected to be Playground Buddies this year and today Poppy Class helped them in their training. We met our buddies and they explained what their role is. They then taught us some exciting new games that we can play at lunchtimes. We are so excited for our new Buddies to join us on the Key Stage 1 playground.

We could not wait for pancake day this year as we were going to make our own pancakes from scratch!
We wrote shopping lists, recipes, designed our pancakes, measured out the ingredients correctly using scales and measuring jugs and even created a shop so we could sell them to Reception children!
Like all the other classes in school, this week we have been reading the Tin Forest. We did lots of wonderful things including descriptive writing, art and created some 3D flowers. These flowers will form part of a whole school display. We can’t wait to see what the other classes have created and how the finished display will look!
